“How much will my renovation cost?” is the first question most homeowners in Petaling Jaya and the Klang Valley ask. The honest answer is that it depends on your property, your scope and your materials. This guide shares published ballpark figures from Malaysian industry sources, explains what moves the number up or down, and shows how we arrive at a quotation.
Please note: the figures below are third-party estimates, not Adesso Studio's prices. Every project is quoted individually after a site visit.
Qanvast, a Malaysian renovation platform, published these estimates in December 2025 for a complete renovation covering carpentry, electrical wiring, plastering, painting and wet works:
| Property type | Published estimate (Qanvast, Dec 2025) |
|---|---|
| Condominium | From RM80,000 to RM150,000 |
| One-storey landed home | Around RM120,000 |
| Terrace house | From RM180,000 to RM220,000 |
| Semi-detached | Around RM300,000 |
| Bungalow | From RM300,000 to RM400,000 |

iProperty Malaysia's renovation guide frames budgets for a 1,000–1,500 sq ft condo in three tiers: low (basic fixtures, painting, minor wet works), medium (adds wall hacking, larger wardrobes and kitchen cabinets, new flooring) and high (adds rewiring, re-plumbing and bathroom upgrades, common in older units). Its lower tiers are aimed at partial works rather than full design & build.
